Welcome to my blog! I hope this can be a place where I can (regularly) update y'all on my family and the journeys I find myself in. I plan on documenting my thoughts on family, orphan care, and my time in China next week.
Ah, and to explain the title of this blog. Sofia, as many of you are aware of, has many unique obsessions. Many of them come and go every couple of months, but there is always at least one obsession that she is particularly obsessed with at one point in time. It has ranged from hats to scarves to necklaces to sock puppets to neckties to bow ties to hair clips to acorns... and the list can go on and on. I decided to use two of her most trademark obsessions as the title of this blog--acorns and neckties. Her obsessions are a very large part of our lives and so it made the perfect name for this blog ;)
